Google Maps adds agentic features, including food ordering and hotel bookings
Ask Maps is moving from recommendations into task completion inside Google Maps.
Google says users in the U.S. can ask for specific food nearby, have Ask Maps add items to a cart, and finish payment through partners like Square, Toast, or Uber Eats. It can also compare hotel prices and availability, surface event options, and send users to partner sites for booking or tickets. A new Personal Intelligence option can pull from Gmail and Google Calendar for travel and reservation answers, but it is off by default.
