nanoMuse: An Open-Source Personal Agent for Every Device You Own
nanoMuse is framed as an open GPL-3.0 counterpart to Meta’s closed Muse-style personal agent.
The paper defines a personal agent as software that can act across a person’s accounts and devices, keep memory over time, initiate when useful, and account for its actions. nanoMuse is presented as one agent running across a user’s devices, sharing a conversation through a relay anyone can operate. Actions are routed through a Sentinel, memory is stored as readable files with provenance, and the user can choose the model. The authors also list estimated size and cost, plus a roadmap for open memory, hand-control evaluation, and an open model for device actions. HF Daily Papers' note
