Claude adds editing in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
Claude can now make approved, in-place edits inside Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
The new Google Workspace add-on puts Claude in a sidebar beside an open file, where it can read selected text, cells, or slides and propose targeted changes. Docs edits can arrive as approval cards, while Sheets support includes pivot tables, charts, tabs, and Python-backed data cleanup. In Slides, Claude can build from an existing deck’s layouts and check for layout problems. Separate beta connectors let users create or edit Google files from a Claude conversation, subject to existing Google sharing permissions. TestingCatalog's note
