WorldRover: A Scalable Synthetic Video Data Engine for World Exploration with Rich Annotations
WorldRover packages synthetic explorations with the geometry, camera paths, action signals, and correspondence that real video often lacks.
The paper introduces an Unreal Engine pipeline that renders minute-scale routes through artist-built environments while preserving trajectory and scene geometry. The same traversal can be replayed as first-person, third-person, or 360-degree video, including altered environmental states or neutral materials. Its WorldRover-10M dataset pairs RGB with metric depth, camera trajectories, and trajectory-derived actions; third-person subsets add optical flow and long-range 2D/3D point tracks.
