Cloudflare announces Wallets for AI agent payments
Cloudflare is building agent-controlled spending around delegated wallets, caps, and x402 micropayments.
Account owners will manage Account Wallets, then assign Virtual Wallets to agents through API keys. Those agent wallets can be limited by allowances, allowlists, transaction maximums, and total spending caps, with manual override requests when limits are hit. Cloudflare says funding and payment features will follow after users claim wallet handles, with stablecoin support and x402 planned. The wallets are meant to connect to Cloudflare’s Agents SDK and Monetization Gateway, giving agents a way to buy APIs or content while owners keep budget controls. TestingCatalog's note
