Crusoe raises $3.9B to build massive data centers and small modular “AI factories”
Crusoe’s new round values the AI infrastructure company at $30.9 billion.
The Series F was co-led by Atreides Management, Mubadala Capital, and Valor Equity Partners, with Nvidia, Founders Fund, GIC, QIA, Radical Ventures, and TPG also participating. Crusoe says the money will help fund existing projects, including its Abilene, Texas data center used by OpenAI, and its truck-transportable Spark “AI factories.” The company leases data center space, rents its own GPUs, and sells inference compute. It has recently signed a reported $13 billion cloud deal with Jane Street and has discussed a potential IPO, according to prior reports cited in the piece. TechCrunch AI's note
